The Marketing Power Of Traditional Media With Angel Tuccy
We have a special guest in this episode. We have Angel, an angel with wings that will fly to the next part of your life where you can grow like you’ve never grown before. What I love about her is she is the most amazing human being when it comes to getting your message out there. She is a beautiful woman who travels all over the world, speaking in front of thousands of people. She was asked to be on the Inspiration2020 Tour. Very few people were able to even get on that tour and she was asked to be on it. When I asked her if she’d take a moment to do a show, I begged, pleaded and even said, “I’ll give you money.” She said, “I don’t want money. I just want to have the opportunity to share my beautiful experiences with your readers.” We get to travel together. She spoke in Cancun, Mexico to a women’s group making a difference for everybody out there. This is a woman on fire. Angel, welcome to my show. Tell them who you are, what you do and how you can help them. Give them some tips.
Thanks for having me. I’m grateful to give back to your audience. I’m Angel Tuccy, media and publicity specialist. I help entrepreneurs and influencers attract more visibility, create more exposure through the power of traditional media. Television shows, radio shows, interviews on podcasts and magazines, helping them to get their word out there because if more people have heard of you, then you know you’re making a difference in the world. That’s the biggest struggle that I see with most entrepreneurs. They wish more people have heard of them. They need visibility and exposure and that’s what I helped create for them.
The illusion that people think, especially in this day’s marketing, is that all you need is social media. They’ve got to get away from the real media, which is what you specialize in. Social media is important. How many people are on social media? Everybody. It’s like you’re a minnow in the ocean versus what you do is a specialty. That’s what makes your program, your gifts so valuable to so many. Back in the day, when I was younger, I didn’t have all these cellphones and media. What the heck was social media? That means you socialized, you talked to somebody, you didn’t text your neighbor next to you. We do events where we’ll watch the whole front row and they’ll be texting each other. I’m like, “Have a conversation.” You have a conversation with the world, with print and I love the way you do it. The way you do to is like, nobody can touch you in this business. You’re a gift to everybody. When you talk about getting people and their exposure, how would they come to you? How would they get ahold of you to say, “I want to know more about Angel?” How’d you get involved in his whole business?
You were talking about, everybody is on social media, everybody is on their phone. I was in a restaurant in Aruba and they had a sign that said, “We don’t have Wi-Fi. We want you to talk to each other.” It’s true. Everybody’s on social media and we need that social media presence. You’ve seen people that use the media logos on their flyers, banners, business cards, PowerPoints and the reason they use those media logos, why those media logos are important is, they create a sense of familiarity, “You’re familiar with those logos, therefore, I’m now more familiar with your brand.” It also elevates your credibility being featured on Huffington Post, Forbes, ABC and CBS. That elevates the credibility to the consumer’s mind and you also create a level of trust.The world needs your story. You need to get out there and share it. Click To Tweet
If you can create familiarity, elevate your credibility, and create trust, you attract customers instead of chasing customers. There are thousands of opportunities to create media exposure every single day. They are looking for guests. They’ve got airtime and white space to fill. They are looking for fresh new content. Most entrepreneurs don’t realize how valuable their expertise can be to a time-strapped journalist. When they’re looking to fill space, there’s so much opportunity in getting your brand out there and leveraging the power of traditional media. It means you’re getting in front of a new audience. Whereas if I’m posting on my social media site, it’s the same people I posted to last week. Sending more emails, the same people I sent emails to last week. Leveraging traditional media and other people’s platforms, now you’re in front of a fresh new audience every single week because they are looking for guests. That’s the power of media and publicity.
What does white space mean to the average person?
When I say white space dead air, it’s when they were doing print, you start with a blank piece of paper, blank newsprint and blank magazine sheets. It’s white space, so we need content and articles. We need to interview people and stories to share. On digital, they don’t think of white space because everybody’s got so much content. It’s unlimited what you can put out into the world. Whereas on traditional media, these are exclusive spots. There are only many articles and interviews that we’re going to do. Even on your podcast, there are only many people that you can interview or can be interviewed. Those are exclusive spots when you get to be invited on as somebody else’s guests. The world needs your story. We all have a PhD in our own story and we need to get out there and share it. By doing that, we attract the right clients into our sales funnel.
Let’s say, “I want Angel in my life because saying how to do it and doing is different.” You bring the speed to success for people that are trying to figure it out themselves. Why try to figure it out yourself when you have the answers that you’ve done at your experience that you travel all over the world? They wouldn’t ask you to be on the Inspiration2020 Tour if it wasn’t results-driven. You are extremely results-driven, which I love you so much.
